Nemo the Clownfish at Belitung Island

Clown fish or "Anemone Fish" is a type of fish that is included in the sub-family "Amphiprioninae" in the family "Pomacentridae". There are about 360 species of this fish, one of the genus "Premnas" - there is a little similar to the genus "Amphiprion". In the wild, they form a symbiotic mutualism with "sea anemone". Depending on its species, these fish on average yellow, orange, mixed with stripes of black, and there are also white. Largest Anemone fish can grow along the 18 cm (7.1 inches), and the smallest can grow as long as 10 cm (3.9 inches).

In a group of clownfish, there is a strict dominance hierarchy. Usually the largest and most aggressive - female manifold, and found swimming at the top of the anemone. Clownfish lay their eggs on a flat surface near its host anemone. In the wild, clownfish seedlings hatched around the time of the full moon. Depending on species, clownfish can put hundreds or thousands of eggs. Parent males guard the eggs until they hatch about six to ten days later, usually two hours after dusk.
